Six months later, the garden we have started, with the help of the women, is thriving and abundant. This experience inspires us to continually reach out to the community to cultivate gardens like this one, that provide health, happiness, and of course, delicious produce!
Sister Jose Women's Center
This year in March of 2018, we reached out to Sister Jose Women's Center in Tucson with the purpose of bringing goodwill and positivity to the residents by building them an edible garden, as we are firm believers in the health benefits for the body, mind and spirit that stem from the process of growing and nurturing a garden. Through our GoFundMe campaign, we were able to raise the money to begin a beautiful garden for the ladies of this shelter, where we regularly pay visits and garden with the residents, to connect with them and to give our guidance and education.
